The management of the energy transition depends on the availability and the quality of a large range of data. Data is often difficult to find, mixed in different repositories, resulting in a lack of efficiency for research and energy management. In addition, it is not always easy to visualize and evaluate these data sets in an easy-to-use tool. The H2020 project EnerMaps has been working to coordinate and enrich existing energy databases to share and reuse energy data more FAIR’ly and as such more efficiently. This information is accessible through the Energy Community Gateway, a search platform. EnerMaps also features a quality-checked database of crucial and curated energy datasets. It is a possibility to access rapidly new innovative datasets as well as related insights to inform decision-makers. These quality-checked datasets can be visualized and analysed in the EnerMaps Data Management Tool, a GIS platform. The purpose of the presentation is to introduce these two tools through a live demonstration based on concrete examples.
