everybody july's to be here on behalf of the europeans should women's health
00:00:06
and just a little bit about myself i'm not board member of
00:00:09
these shoes obviously and uh my background is in cancer
00:00:14
and i'm program manager working largely interior screening and also in symptomatic services
00:00:20
so and person it's been really interesting listening to all the conversations this morning and the the discussion
00:00:26
and also and listen about various caring roles my parents live in the west warned them from
00:00:32
the rest of our lives and the both in their nineties in the late nineties
00:00:36
which fortunately i um have got good health but we do have paris coming and i'm from
00:00:40
a family of seven seven siblings so i can identify with a lot of the issues
00:00:45
so regardless of where you're working with the background is you know it was from personal level it's
00:00:49
it's always goes back to the person how you can identify with all these different areas
00:00:54
but anyway just going to uh give you little bit background really where the
00:00:58
ins shoes falls into place here with with the woman's brain project
00:01:02
we have um have been twenty one years in in stock options and yeah what were based in
00:01:08
in our land we a lot for board members are all apartments where you're from cross your
00:01:13
and have huge vast experience in various areas and are
00:01:17
twenty first anniversary in brussels actions any last week
00:01:21
we had over seventy delegates from cross eh your
00:01:25
okay and those delegates represent just the patients
00:01:28
and this is the a civil service civil service and policy makers
00:01:34
across your and brain work java c. plus persuasion is
00:01:39
the european instruments helped i see ourselves as a abductors and in order
00:01:43
to to get that voices but that voice across we need to
00:01:46
be involved in a lot of the policymakers i'm getting the expertise
00:01:50
on the information you happens right to where decisions are made
00:01:54
and over the past twenty one years we've collected on the work to be done and you
00:01:58
know what it worked well and where the areas that we need to work on
00:02:02
and uh we have made a lot of and connection with the women's frame project and we as
00:02:07
a co joint effort are going to work together i think the collaboration of we have
00:02:12
experience we have the twenty one years establishment and that's that's that's a group but individually and i
00:02:18
think we all have what members have i'm sure over a hundred shares between what it was
00:02:23
and and in working with the women's blame project i think we've got
00:02:26
a lot of information lot of expertise to bring to that group
00:02:30
an already we're working on a policy brief and that policy requires on alzheimer's disease and that
00:02:36
will be launched there and brought to the european commission in active has an eighteen
00:02:42
so does this these will here is like and we can work together on also
00:02:46
as an advocacy group we are and involved in the making medical regulations board
00:02:51
and we put on the public consultation from that on various different levels
00:02:56
that's what we actually do and a lot of our work some reports and scientific we we've got
00:03:01
says scientists working with us and researchers and across the disease spectrum so we work very much
00:03:07
in the last number five here looking and chronic disease issues um we were
00:03:11
and involved in and had gone as well as a european project
00:03:15
a no developing policy briefs and various reports and again bringing those to european acclamation
00:03:21
and i think a lot of the we have to it it was interesting
00:03:24
to data listeners but the business perspective and economics i think that's part
00:03:29
you know you know what you countries and that finance that big issue and strategy when when i'd
00:03:35
pop and help or developing the strategies the economic element is there and it's just so important
00:03:42
and i think from from my perspective as well we have got a
00:03:45
very good websites it's a and w. w. dawson euro help dudley
00:03:50
and i would welcome you to i have a browse through that and you get further information
00:03:54
and also if anybody wants to become a member of these shoes i you're more than welcome you see
00:03:59
that on the website and look for that to add discussions option you and thank you very much
