00:00:01
good morning everybody
00:00:03
we still have seats up here and you know all the closer you get the
00:00:08
better this engine is going to be so please join us up here
00:00:13
and uh i know that there are not to point out that people in the back
00:00:18
but it's all okay if you need to leave before the station and
00:00:22
we understand we nobody forces you to be here but we really want to
00:00:26
include you so please come up here uh_huh yeah don't be shy
00:00:36
yeah
00:00:39
please come up here there is more seats we met some new
00:00:44
libraries it see you in a a groups like that
00:00:47
we are a lack of men appear lovely ladies maybe
00:00:52
a gentleman yeah yes there if they say yes
00:01:01
luckily for how my role here today it's basically ah
00:01:10
being the link between you and molly
00:01:13
and uh uh not that it's really necessary um but i'm here
00:01:18
my name is anne i'm a professional facilitator and moderator
00:01:23
and i'm i'm just going to be trying to support
00:01:28
molly it the best of my ability but um when i met molly um
00:01:34
i certainly did not have the feeling that she needs help at all
00:01:39
sees the kind of person that wanna help others i kept her name is hobby molly harvey
00:01:47
and for some strange we reason i keep ah getting his picture
00:01:52
of her calling he because it reminds me of a halo
00:01:58
she has this low over for many reasons that
00:02:03
you will discover yourself but maybe also because
00:02:07
she's a board member of the global angel foundation that's
00:02:12
just perfect for uh_huh but there's something about molly
00:02:17
she immediately tears down your walls and you open up in other words i
00:02:24
think molly had me at hello but molly molly hobby it is
00:02:31
what woman and she has and essence of making sense and meaning
00:02:37
two people call things she makes it simple well for the individual but also for businesses
00:02:44
and luckily she spread these words he had he not
00:02:48
all over the world and he's written eight books
00:02:51
and several c. d.'s apart cats by her hand as well
00:02:57
she's a generous person and she shares the life experience
00:03:01
and today she will share some of them would you um before
00:03:07
i'm only a comes on states we have a little film for you but uh and then
00:03:13
uh she probably the person of wouldn't it be better applause but more a numbers
00:03:18
they went to comes in 'cause he's all that molly a hobby or or
00:03:45
no
00:03:51
so
00:04:04
from
00:05:42
damn
00:05:51
shady which is an attitude of mind that takes place with
00:05:55
inside ourselves there's no one common to rescue you
00:06:00
so for the next hour and fifteen minutes i'm gonna cover three
00:06:04
points and the three points are all round be accountable
00:06:10
pay attention and small steps every day you know
00:06:16
i'm a very ordinary bowman i'm me if an extraordinary life
00:06:22
and the reason why i haven extraordinary noisy face
00:06:25
because it's the choices that we made
00:06:30
every day is we're the extraordinary happens and
00:06:35
actually i always say extraordinary ordinary
00:06:42
and it's all wonderful to see such a diverse group of people
00:06:47
men and women but i'm really really appealing to the women
00:06:52
in the audience today and i'm no one i'm sure all the men would back me up
00:06:57
you know for all the women in the audience today it's time to own your presence all your power
00:07:05
and all on the whole you are in the world because the world needs all our
00:07:09
voices right now and it's time for all of us to give up our excuses
00:07:16
i don't tell you many the stories of some of the excuses i have in my
00:07:20
life but i'm curious can additional fans whole ever uses the excuse i start tomorrow
00:07:28
that whole ever uses the x. games on too tired
00:07:34
it's a text uses all ever uses the excuse all we did that
00:07:39
before and it didn't work and it's not gonna work now
00:07:45
so here's the forced to put the day the first thing i wanted to do was when you go home
00:07:51
'cause i like making things very very easy to do i
00:07:55
want you to get a glass jar and it's really
00:07:58
great to do this if you have young children rest get a glass jar put it on the kitchen table
00:08:04
i'm for twenty one days i want you to watch yourself and
00:08:08
all the excuses that you leave get in the way
00:08:10
both business and life and every time there's excuse comes all i wanted
00:08:16
to write a piece of paper controlled into the glass jar
00:08:19
feel that ass jar and after twenty one days into the glass jar on the kitchen table
00:08:25
and they in you would begin to see the excuses that you're using it again and
00:08:31
again and again to stop you stepping for to
00:08:35
view greatness because everybody on the planet each
00:08:40
of us have are all a new meek are all new meek colon or footprint
00:08:47
to bring to the pan us so let's get started and myself are going to work with you i want everybody to stand
00:08:56
up i'm gonna stand up here and talk to you for the are now for together okay i want us to help
00:09:02
find somebody to walk with the roman that i'll tell you what we're gonna do okay
00:09:10
of course all enough of try try and fine perhaps ad pricing you never met before
00:09:18
are not a colleague or your best friend woke up with a new parser
00:09:26
i wish that's so id need a partner raise your as if you're missing while
00:09:33
all that
00:09:37
right yeah fine each other yeah yeah to enter out yes
00:09:42
okay well i wanted to talk to your partner
00:09:50
well gotta bonding i wanted to share with your partner losses than one next to
00:09:57
you is that you left to get in the way this year golfers
00:10:04
uh_huh
00:10:26
excuse me
00:10:28
ah
00:10:31
and ah
00:11:03
sh sh and this is where we get to to make it a
00:11:09
little bit deeper you might already gathered by my accent i
00:11:13
was brought up in southern ireland and i was told by my
00:11:17
grandmother that we can deeply connected with another human being
00:11:23
and how we say we can make to nine and is we look in the eyes and
00:11:27
we look at the eyes is being the launching pad to the heart and the
00:11:30
heart is the launching pad to the soul and a deep connection happens so this time
00:11:36
i wanted to look at your partner no one should just say you know once
00:11:40
i'm sol don with these excuses golfers
00:12:04
sh should
00:12:07
and then stage of this exercise is something that i do in organisations
00:12:12
across the board because it's great here to day when you're in
00:12:16
the energy and the high energy of everybody here in the room to
00:12:20
say you know what i'm really gonna give up those excuses
00:12:23
that used to be me for years you know why because i always thought i was
00:12:28
big boned me more that was big big grandmother was like be like a
00:12:33
break as a night tortuous big boned and about two months ago i was on
00:12:37
stage in whatever way i looked at my race site horse race race
00:12:45
so i've been making all these years you know so i know couldn't use that anymore
00:12:51
so this is what the person that you have jules shared space and time
00:12:55
with right now i want to be able to be your accountability party
00:13:00
they're going to be your accountability body onto the cold this excuse i
00:13:05
don't care if you emailed them tax them make them every day
00:13:09
yeah i yeah it's
00:13:33
it's
00:13:38
you wanna say something
00:13:42
uh_huh do
00:13:46
yeah
00:13:48
or
00:13:55
oh okay
00:13:57
um actually i need you to uh get up again
00:14:02
sorry just because i think i'm gonna go up here so i can see you
00:14:08
and i need molly because it's small exercise we know that happen it's
00:14:15
we're really good at doing things that we used to 'cause we is ah automatically we just do that
00:14:21
and um in order to change something we really have to make an effort
00:14:26
and our pay attention so this little exercise first we're gonna do the an easy one
00:14:33
you'll go around and say hi to enter people around you and just
00:14:38
say hi i'm and i'm ali okay that's pretty easy that's already
00:14:43
automatic pilot so us say hi to a lot of people just pretending
00:14:48
stretch out you are do this so your name please do that a couple of times easy to use it
00:15:15
oh okay thank you know
00:15:18
sorry
00:15:20
there there's probably
00:15:23
can i have your attention i guess i'll up that you wanna say hi to a lot of people
00:15:29
oh i said well i
00:15:34
and now
00:15:36
next step is you need to do something else now
00:15:42
you do again you agreed with your name and say hi man on molly okay now i'd go out into the world
00:15:49
and now i'm not anymore i have to pay attention that now i'm only
00:15:54
so the next person i read i say hi i'm molly and eyes what name would you what your names are
00:16:01
robert i think i'm molly and and now i'd i get your name and your molly
00:16:09
alright so that you really have to look into the person's i. m. pay attention
00:16:16
and you change an old habit have to switch off autopilot and remember the names
00:16:22
of the people you meet you get a little confused but that's okay we're
00:16:25
gonna go watch what names with every time you made a new person you
00:16:30
swap names giving the one you just happen alright give it a go
00:17:08
f. five
00:17:09
uh_huh
00:17:19
yeah
00:17:24
h.
00:17:26
thank you you may step down
00:17:36
then yeah i you know end up having your name back
00:17:42
yes you got your name back alright uh i don't want the levy also gets a frantic but the um
00:17:49
how many personalities on uni aims did you uh managed to remember and
00:17:53
how did it go you good five five difference was it difficult
00:18:00
i've simple thing like this but the key is to be present and pay attention
00:18:09
so the first step i'd like to speak to you about just about be accountable
00:18:14
i learned to those accountability very very young as i said to you i
00:18:19
grew up in certain on and a group and uh countries stays
00:18:22
owned by lower teleport ever suffered no my father wasn't the
00:18:26
lord my father worked with the horses for the lord
00:18:30
but i never forget that day i was just about to get into the horse box
00:18:36
and my mother came running up the road after me and she came running and she said loci
00:18:41
i want to tell you something she said the doctor has advised me to ten new
00:18:47
that daddy has probably less than six months to live well the game changer for me my father
00:18:54
was my hero and something inside me knew that my life would never be the same again
00:19:01
but i also knew when that moment even though i was a young child i knew that
00:19:08
i could make a choice and the choices either i could make something of my life
00:19:14
or i could get really angry and i decided to make something of my life
00:19:20
and i know that each of you sit in the audience right now
00:19:25
will all come across choice points in her life and we
00:19:28
this choice points in our life or more colourful work to do something to do something different and sometimes
00:19:35
i see it's like you're so we'll comes knocking on the door and says we call we cope
00:19:41
and sometimes we don't wake up then but then it'll come back again and again and
00:19:45
again it might come back and it'll come knocking banging complete knocks the door down
00:19:51
but i want you never to forget something that every
00:19:55
mine's seconds you get to me can you choice
00:20:00
so if the choice you made nine seconds ago wasn't the right choice that's
00:20:04
okay every nine seconds you get to
00:20:10
make a new choice i'm
00:20:13
i actually believe we come into this world what i call an invisible pack
00:20:19
and that's we rule one as we develop backpack becomes filled with the local to life
00:20:25
yeah i can look at it you all here in the audience and i can
00:20:28
see that some of your very good again the backpack off and emptiness
00:20:33
and more of your not you not only have the backpack you the two suitcases as well
00:20:38
yeah i noticed that when you see people and they're just absolutely bowl down
00:20:44
the one she if you take nothing else away from today
00:20:46
and wanted to remember this yesterday ended last night
00:20:53
how many of us take our yesterday's into today how many of us take our
00:20:59
last year's into today how many of us take ten years ago into today
00:21:05
our wars still how matt if this leave people live rent free and our hand
00:21:13
oh we put it right free and i had a more thinking also also said
00:21:17
that about me in their thinking this net thinking that you know a lot
00:21:21
the too busy thinking about themselves most of the time and then we leave
00:21:27
the excuses cash in the way and then we start to place small
00:21:32
i'm saying oh no wendell in fact right now i want you to turn to the
00:21:37
person next to you stand up again just towards the person next to you
00:21:43
i'm just say to them it's possible with
00:21:52
i talk to them i think because i think it's it's a morse all busy being busy
00:22:02
you know i know as and people say all happy theo you molly really really busy
00:22:07
i going nicely busy no you must be really busy can't be doing well if you're not really busy
00:22:14
i know it's it's with these pain conversations have you know just
00:22:18
ten conversations where you meet somebody and there's not one whole side of it
00:22:24
you know we miss and so little is anybody there here i give you my business card but i'm really not there
00:22:31
no no no no no i want to packed as for the rest of this convention
00:22:34
of that when somebody gives you the on or of get new their business card
00:22:38
that you stop you stand back you pause and you can make it
00:22:43
you can make it's not with the clay but if you connect with the
00:22:47
essence of the presence of the person that's in front of you
00:22:52
it's not how many cards that you give out that matches that this convention it's how many people are you
00:22:59
being connected with afterwards and actually able to reno for
00:23:03
email and say gee nobody was really genuinely lovely
00:23:06
to me chew and have a conversation with you you know right now we're starved
00:23:14
we're living in the world of the three c.'s connection collaboration in community
00:23:20
but yet there's too many thirteen conversations around i don't
00:23:25
want you to really pay attention to those conversations
00:23:29
and and so already used to pay attention pay attention pay attention
00:23:34
no look at the individual that you're connecting with i
00:23:37
want you to look on the real evidence need to them
00:23:40
you know want you are full the possibility go first
00:24:03
so i guess i'm curious
00:24:10
when you said tells wards your fall a possibility was the more the connection yeah
00:24:17
till today and that's the connection that's the invisible presence the invisible aces
00:24:23
of what you are and that's why it's so
00:24:26
important i repeated again because repetition repetition repetition
00:24:32
creates extraordinary results and that's why it's important
00:24:36
to own your power on your presence
00:24:39
and on your medicine as men and women it's still important to cases
00:24:46
uh_huh
00:24:48
if yeah
00:24:55
so after be accounted but i'd like to talk again
00:24:59
and again and again about pay attention because right
00:25:05
now when the war and i think as we move to twenty twenty and twenty twenty five
00:25:10
it's really important as leaders in each and every one of you in
00:25:13
the room either heaters and the seals of your room job
00:25:18
where you really excel is when you have stuff and that you look after teams and you encourage them
00:25:24
to be the seals the wrong jobs in the room lights that's when your work is done
00:25:31
and the pay attention pieces so important because it's about being self away or and and
00:25:38
said that was you know when you get the colour each tool will come round
00:25:42
with self awareness of the world and pay attention you will notice everything that's going on
00:25:50
around you because i'm telling you now you don't you know the allies house
00:25:58
to noise houses do they don't run all over the island do
00:26:02
they get in the bolts into short no they don't
00:26:06
they stand still and all the boats coming so lost if you were to
00:26:12
work on your business not so much about the doing but the penis
00:26:20
of bring in your presence to every to mind bringing your
00:26:24
presents to your internal customer cave in your organisation
00:26:30
and also most importantly pretty new essence of your prices hole to your partner
00:26:36
and your husband in the evening because i believe you know leadership is a behaviour have to give it
00:26:44
you don't just switch it on when you go into the workplace isabel to hold of your life
00:26:48
all day but pay attention
00:26:52
because i've noticed there's three types of viruses out there in the world today
00:26:58
and i'm curious to see have you noticed any of these viruses the forced
00:27:02
virus and nine you'll have to hurt me oh sure 'cause i
00:27:05
might say the irish way yep i say the force fire is is
00:27:09
the mole warning when jane so one what would you say
00:27:13
you know when genius though you know why i mean yes
00:27:17
like whining she was actually sent me nobody know what we nation is molly it's called the n. w. virus
00:27:24
so the morning when gene and cause of the morning whining virus okay so i learnt about that
00:27:30
because i'm very close to my mother person aren't we talk so much about the weather
00:27:35
and every time she brings me in the forced few seconds she tells
00:27:39
me how many is that in the village that's the first thing
00:27:44
and of her actually charlie said hello and then the next thing she's time is how bad the weather is
00:27:49
but she doesn't know that i've spoken to my sister who lives up the road in the next election she's told
00:27:54
me that this on this with the stones um so that's the morning when gene virus the m. w.
00:28:01
virus and i've seen it a grabs a hold of a soul noun again where we like to encode mode
00:28:07
in a good when you should know that that's not so bad because i ain't how reach that
00:28:14
once you do something about washers but the next virus is illegal in organisations
00:28:23
and it's also only include if you suffer from us it's the p.
00:28:26
n. w. virus and all it's not the b. m. w. car
00:28:31
it's not that carries the teaching moaning when judging virus
00:28:37
or the morning lining virus that's the deadly one
00:28:41
i mean that's what i suppose keeps me working in organisations across the world
00:28:46
that's sad because we start moaning we stop when jean we start can
00:28:52
complacent but it's dangerous i've seen it on rec great teams
00:29:00
i've seen it will rake great dreams and i mean car ha knew that when
00:29:06
you see that or if you do see that happening in your organisation
00:29:11
that you actually pay attention and you say you know the ash
00:29:15
that you know that to be true and you put a stop to wash 'cause i always say you know want if we can't
00:29:24
be kind don't say anything it can't be kind don't say anything
00:29:29
pause or when somebody comes to me and they mall mold
00:29:34
mold mold mold in general statements that that's interesting uh_huh that's where
00:29:42
it ends that's interesting and the looking going all palm ah
00:29:49
young going yeah interesting or or here's a really good one but i heard from michael that was here in the states
00:29:57
and he just got so fed up of the b. m. w. going on that used to say to people
00:30:02
of facts stand up 'cause you're gonna say to somebody different right now get somebody different to work with
00:30:09
oh okay
00:30:12
you got you gotta save come on let's do it here
00:30:19
i'm doing mine vibration i've coffers i'm minding my vibration
00:30:33
oh
00:30:37
i guess not well at all and to you again
00:30:46
from yeah
00:30:52
so are actually i got back into our place and just say it on it to my mike vibration
00:30:59
and then run away most of life's lessons i've learned from my mother and i call back
00:31:10
again to my mother was a very young woman when daddy died she was thirty six
00:31:16
she three young children i was the oldest and youngest was three years of age
00:31:22
and i remember about twelve months after daddy died she came home one day and she
00:31:30
noted and remember thinking what's happened is still very young but i thought that's happened
00:31:37
and she got to the dentist she had at the strips all stressed out
00:31:41
daddy dying that actually she got a gum disease so the
00:31:45
two colour t. that which was fine on to it
00:31:50
i mean i used that hard to eat stayed in the morgan the bathroom
00:31:55
and in our land we live our lawson bungalows and they have like
00:31:59
these lolita places in the back sherman and they were in the morgue in the batter and
00:32:05
they all eek a mouse and went into warm out for weapons christians of young girls
00:32:11
um now that didn't really matter to really matter it didn't bother me on 'cause i remember i
00:32:19
got about eighteen nineteen years of age i don't want to bring the whole my first boyfriend
00:32:25
so i said to my mother i said mommy 'cause we call mommy's mommies and ireland i
00:32:29
said mommy i'm bringing home my first boyfriend please can you put your teeth in
00:32:37
i don't ask me because when she went to eat they had come out because she never boredom such
00:32:41
couldn't use them to eat that's another story okay so lot anyway she put the tape the them
00:32:48
and i remember she pulled me aside and she said to me i wanna have a board with your eyesight one
00:32:55
she said one day you will realise you do need
00:33:00
your sheet to be real i i've never ever
00:33:06
forgotten that from that moment as an eighteen year old girl i thought journal lot ah i can just be
00:33:16
the paste me and that's what i'm seeing to each and every one of you everyone else is taken
00:33:24
and too often i hear people worrying about this one's doing and that
00:33:28
one's doing and what they're doing over they are and they're doing
00:33:32
in that chapter no no no no no if you take nothing
00:33:35
else away from today take your energy attention and focus back
00:33:41
on your own life your own organisation and your own teams and where
00:33:45
you can make the difference a that's the biggest word of
00:33:51
advice i can give you standing up here today take that attention
00:33:55
energy and focus take it back i okay so paying attention
00:34:03
let's now move on to the excuses again so this
00:34:07
time i wanted to move right across the room
00:34:10
and get up and get out of the comfort zone and you're gonna need somebody to work with
00:34:16
when you find the moment should think about that excuse you shared at
00:34:20
the beginning with someone and i wanted to share with somebody else
00:34:25
what are the triggers that triggers off cash excuse
00:34:32
so let me give you an example because then i'm gonna give you something when you've done that
00:34:37
on how you can over comments i used to love the glass of wine between five and seven o'clock
00:34:44
another nice fuzzy between five and seven o'clock i couldn't care less than eight o'clock nine o'clock four
00:34:50
o'clock couldn't hear put between five and seven o'clock i enjoyed it massively and then a total who
00:34:58
was a fireplace this last applying still had a wine glass up agenda for our image you
00:35:06
see what i did i switched so i was able to break habits of a glass of wine between
00:35:13
five and seven o'clock is just very simple but remember that's what it is small steps over
00:35:20
time create remarkable results on they'll want you to go find somebody to work with and shay or
00:35:26
what you think the triggers are around that excuse that you shared earlier on golfers uh_huh uh_huh
00:35:36
or do you want to bring anything in here
00:35:41
great thank you
00:35:57
huh
00:35:59
do you wanna take care of it then
00:36:07
just just to help you a little bit if you don't know what that trade
00:36:11
areas it is air situation you're an
00:36:15
every apparent situation that you discover
00:36:28
if
00:38:32
yeah
00:38:33
yep
00:38:39
i just wanted to get a
00:39:26
uh_huh
00:40:21
okay
00:40:32
i know okay
00:40:34
okay it's
00:40:43
uh_huh
00:40:45
mm mm
00:40:53
i i i it was the non or to stand here
00:41:03
and just feel the balls and the room is a new language in the
00:41:08
world right now and that language is the language of authenticity transparency and
00:41:15
honesty it's emerge and hope true everything else and the border disruptive or
00:41:20
that we're living in and it was lovely to just stand on
00:41:24
the stage and just feel the genuine mess up the shearing that was happening
00:41:32
in this room and thank you because you see when we get
00:41:40
the car reach to share your or excuse us um what she notices
00:41:49
take this number for the excuse or the excuses to hide anymore
00:41:54
excuses like you to stay silent and they like to defeat shame over them and
00:41:59
feed the tool for them and feels sadness whatever that excuses in your
00:42:03
life but you know just that we actually get the courage to talk about
00:42:08
it you get somebody to be your accountability body comes out to the
00:42:13
noise comes out to the lies and one very very simple technique that i use
00:42:24
and not to over calm excuses and actually she's just reasonable composers man
00:42:29
robin's as read the book called the five second rule anybody read okay i
00:42:35
can i can give it to you in less than five seconds
00:42:40
the five second fruity so if you got a pen and a piece of paper from here ronnie and take
00:42:45
your pains in your paper those papers uh on one of the jurors in your little circle so
00:42:58
and if you have a pen if you have more than one pale peach to share with uh other people
00:43:08
yeah if anybody's missing at penn plea if raise your hand
00:43:14
and we will see anybody would like to share opinion
00:43:18
have an extra we'd idea to get an extra pair they
00:43:22
really are very here yeah thank you handed it okay
00:43:31
y'all get yeah so matt robin's to uh i did a lot of research on this
00:43:37
and it's so simple but remember simple works and the five second rule is
00:43:44
that a great time your excuse kicks in a or
00:43:50
it might be your tending to procrastinate so or
00:43:53
you get overwhelmed in your day you can use it for many different things you stop yourself
00:44:00
i knew goal five four three two one
00:44:06
and you move backwards five four
00:44:10
three two one um what happens what psychologists have begun to
00:44:15
relies is what happens is our brain is like
00:44:18
i'm a big t. v. station and there's so much taking your brain at one time but actually
00:44:27
when you feel a sense of overwhelmed more when you feel a sense of that excuse coming on you
00:44:32
you stop when you go five four three two one um what happens is you just rocked
00:44:38
it's like you turn off your brain you turn off the television and
00:44:43
then you turn it back on again it's control delete that's it
00:44:48
that's it and sell actually i have five
00:44:53
four three two one right in
00:44:57
on my desk uh_huh and i use it for all sorts of things
00:45:03
so for instance sometimes in my day have you ever been at your
00:45:06
desk and the day and you just lose concentration you lose focus
00:45:10
and i go five four three two one and then i say to
00:45:15
myself i should not be put my energy and attention on right
00:45:19
now on the business would we need to put my energy and attention to so that's i use it on a business level
00:45:26
procrastination i put in the wrong here ah just curious ever ever
00:45:30
suffered from chronic procrastination oh okay you ready for a challenge
00:45:37
his party tape procrastination die use starting today
00:45:43
so for the next thirty days you've you you make a promise yourself to do something
00:45:49
different for the next party days in could be anything it just might be
00:45:57
that if you're not so good on social media you say you're
00:46:00
not gonna learn something new tomorrow but you stretch yourself
00:46:05
but party day is you brings something different into your life it doesn't
00:46:10
have to be big because remember small steps all over time creation
00:46:14
remarkable results so i mean it could be either stop doing something or
00:46:21
start doing something you absolutely yeah stop doing or start doing
00:46:26
so in fact actually thank you and for mention the stop doing
00:46:30
'cause i'm curious people used to do only still today i
00:46:38
okay how many p. but here in the room how to stop doing list
00:46:45
ah if you take him well yes and you put that into your business i came across it
00:46:54
in dallas in two thousand wanted changed my business
00:47:03
if we don't stop doing some of
00:47:07
this stuff for doing we won't even be in business by twenty twenty twenty twenty five i
00:47:14
stop doing laced his soul so important why because we're creatures that have recently and
00:47:22
most of us probably the planet than change always say we change but actually would rather leave the planners
00:47:29
so i think part region you to bring that stop doing leased
00:47:36
into business the need to live why because um for
00:47:43
anything new to come into your life what we have to do big space and how can you makes space
00:47:52
if you're still doing some of the things that don't even work
00:47:56
anymore i so i go back again just for a
00:48:02
moment the five four three two one that's a great take
00:48:08
five second rule how to break excuses by the way
00:48:13
and i think that i'm sharing with you here and the stage i just wanted to
00:48:17
know i leave it in my own life i will not stand on the
00:48:22
stage if i haven't done it or i'm not currently doing it myself okay so
00:48:30
we're paying attention more paying attention we're paying attention here's another very simple exercise
00:48:37
i want you to get a blank sheet of paper 'cause i. c. u. ward of
00:48:40
paper in front of you all want wanted to draw a line down the middle
00:48:45
it's a very simple exercise that you can continue after
00:48:50
and then myself i've worked with you today it's called contrast
00:48:54
to clarity and it's very simple but very very powerful
00:49:01
and and i'm just check in isn't there an output all the download of some of the
00:49:06
and out and out notes will be in the conference back in
00:49:11
the cap thank you uh_huh okay on the left hand side
00:49:16
i'm going to give you a few moments we're gonna have silence in the room silences good i'm gonna
00:49:23
give you feel moments that on the left hand side i want you to write at least
00:49:28
of the excuses and the things you no longer want in your
00:49:32
life go for it right now and and we'll just
00:49:36
walk around the room and maybe i will as well as so just make
00:49:40
a list of what things that you're done with and still don't
00:49:44
when they some sort don't but this excuse i saw on to like
00:49:47
this girl in my life right down make at least personally
00:49:53
and professionally i uh_huh uh_huh uh_huh i i i i i i'm i
00:50:29
i i i i i i i i i i i i
00:51:08
and again this is in your own time take your time but i
00:51:11
can see that some people are finished there's no washes arteries
00:51:16
those that are finished i wanted to move to the right hand side of the page
00:51:20
and i wanted to just the whole was and just think about what do i want
00:51:27
so that's what you don't want to you want to be very clear i i i i don't
00:51:41
think it's important to say i saw some play pieces of paper i think that's only natural
00:51:47
'cause we all work and operate works in different speeds so up being this like just plain to see
00:51:54
so you things might pop up tonight or in three days time so don't panic i i i
00:52:12
i i'm also where the time sharing a lot of different tunes and on my set of tools and
00:52:19
strategies because we wanted to give you as much as we possibly could see so you know
00:52:25
if you just find one of them that works you know that's what it's all about i i i
00:52:42
i i i i i i i i i i also i would encourage you that you
00:53:13
can go back and do that simple exercise again and again and again would be very interesting to
00:53:20
look six months from today to look and see i used to doing some of those things
00:53:27
you no longer wanted in your life or have you actually start doing them so be interesting
00:53:33
to go back and look at us because sometimes we don't rely is that actually
00:53:38
we've got no what we don't want before we know what we want and that's why it's called contrast to
00:53:48
clarity and is there anything you'd like to have it i was just curious just small survey here
00:53:57
which part of this exercise did come easier to you the first part the things
00:54:06
that you would like to stop did i raise of hands it was
00:54:14
that easy uh that was the easiest part of things stop or new things
00:54:20
to do in that fifty fifty as mm mm body equally easy
00:54:28
well you can really hard but okay i mean which brings me on to something else that wasn't going to talk
00:54:38
about but i just mention who here in the room puts thinking time into their diary that business diary
00:54:45
wow all i'm empowered to see if you hands coming up here fabulous i want because so
00:54:54
many of us were like hamsters on the wheel we're going going going going going
00:54:59
how can you be creative how can you get those new
00:55:03
ideas if you don't want to leave pondered timers
00:55:07
thinking time column in to your diary and night you
00:55:11
got to not mention anybody have that time
00:55:15
that's when you step back in you step evolution you look into the business
00:55:20
and you ask yourself all those questions my thinking time is the early
00:55:26
morning which now one moving into watch at the small steps
00:55:33
one of the small steps every day and it started off with early morning
00:55:38
i became a member of what i call the five oh five job some matter where i am of the board
00:55:43
i'll wake up at five o. five i'm a big yeah and with because
00:55:49
i too small children um and i run a company that's how
00:55:53
it started that was the only me time that was the only thinking
00:55:56
time i got so i'm curious how many early morning rises here
00:56:01
quite a few great um by that he put it that that the people or not
00:56:05
so ah early morning nine current due to sexual talk talk twenty minutes earlier
00:56:13
why because how use start your day is how you
00:56:17
leave your day uh_huh how you start your
00:56:22
day is how you live your date if you rush out into the morning think about yours
00:56:27
you're finding your spending the rest you're doing washing catching oh where is if you have that half
00:56:33
an hour an hour in the morning that thinking time for me that's a tiny step
00:56:38
and that business that had this may be the best i can be i'm bringing the essence
00:56:44
of my presence to everybody um easy everyday so that's why i'm in college uh new
00:56:50
in the small steps to really really have that morning time
00:56:55
have that morning time and here's another quick exercise that's souls soul important it's a
00:57:03
small step but it's something i'm is that there's a thousand my life
00:57:07
i want you to write down the three to five people that just hang around with most
00:57:12
of the time twenty four hour forty h. r. bases just like the names down
00:57:18
three to five people by the way if you don't have five people don't get depressed
00:57:22
i said yeah and when i spoke to especially when you're all company then that company but
00:57:30
means down three to five people maybe in your teammate work or whatever that we
00:57:35
that inspire here that you can share the goals with the mission the vision you know that you
00:57:41
can share i remember been asked that question way back in two thousand and three in arizona
00:57:48
i was actually jack canfield asked me most of her to the park chicken soup for
00:57:52
the soul and jack pulled me aside to me said money at the motion you
00:57:57
motion around the place over the last two three days he said i'm curious i'm curious
00:58:02
is said come on what the trees invite people to spend your time what
00:58:05
message does that matter is that money that's tenement where you would be he said
00:58:12
three six ten years down the line because this is the next part
00:58:18
you've got the names down yeah three to five people now on a scale of one
00:58:22
to ten eight nine ten i mean really got anything below five is crap
00:58:28
okay mark them where are the on a scale of one to ten for incorporation you empowering you at the code
00:58:34
to be around be honest we don't have to share this by the way 'cause see somebody going oh dear
00:58:40
i wasn't up in january this year numbers on stage in a gentleman at the back of the room we said
00:58:45
all money places that time ape the mother in law she got two and a half block like do
00:58:52
i said don't go around every sunday only go around once a month i wanted to write this sentence down
00:59:01
we become what we've coffee with then and said to me when i asked really some
00:59:05
haven't coffee but no one at the moment okay but please pay attention to that
00:59:12
you'll be calm whole you'll have coffee with him i am nothing
00:59:22
more on this stage the product of great people around me
00:59:26
great role models people who stretch me all the time asked me the hard questions
00:59:34
you know in college those people to be in your life if
00:59:38
it's really really important and you want to add anything there
00:59:45
i'm thinking uh this is uh in in denmark we have a say in
00:59:51
that when it becomes perhaps a little too um for the long here re you know
00:59:59
the expiration interview don't know that that is this going to be oh this is
01:00:04
he be kind of lie style you have an it's all hard in though
01:00:09
so i actually have a question for you i'm thinking that might be in your head as well as like
01:00:16
do you get the attention of c. o. wasn't leaders all
01:00:21
over the world and do they take this in
01:00:24
as the this this advise not just the personal put do they use this that's a great question um
01:00:32
i would hope so well i think so and there is the c. e. o. and the audience there's mister nailing down there
01:00:39
so you've heard me speak many many times and i've worked in your
01:00:44
company do you think they take it serious yes okay thank you
01:00:51
sorry but thank you and um ah i would hope so and i actually when i
01:00:57
i spend a lot of time working with c. e. o.'s i spend my life on the trash or by the way half of the design organisations
01:01:04
and the other half is as you saw with the clipper walked on stage working with the
01:01:08
indigenous communities across the board and i would say that this c. d. o. was
01:01:15
whole why would say are outstanding eaters is not enough to be just
01:01:19
graze anymore records data be outstanding i'd say they're the ones
01:01:24
that really pay attention they're already paying attention to what i'm sharing
01:01:28
with you today and specially on the three to five people
01:01:34
because very often those c. e. o.s will also have i'm in england we
01:01:40
call it at this stage of a nice group and you know
01:01:43
you have it came here where you're where where you're always working with
01:01:48
somebody on the level of you wanna both you just straight she'll
01:01:52
and she are good packed s. a. and and that's run core region you to do i'm
01:01:59
not talking about levels as in all your patient than me or anything no no no
01:02:03
i don't believe in any of that but i believe that we'll have knowledge to share a
01:02:10
boat to share that knowledge we have to not just here we have to listen
01:02:16
'cause a lot of us don't listen today we don't here we only this is what we want to hear
01:02:22
and that's a whole game in itself that we are active listening and that's another small step
01:02:28
so let me give you some tape some the small steps every day which is the third point
01:02:33
and these uh some of these uh business tips to and this is something of what i've
01:02:38
i suppose pink top of five as i've travelled aboard the forced is
01:02:42
i find that people that are really focused in in their business
01:02:47
they generally their week starts on the sunday night and you're all going walks
01:02:53
sunday night they said ten minutes side no more than ten minutes
01:03:02
and they stop and they get the diary oh sure if you do
01:03:06
it on your computer whatever and then they say oh okay
01:03:09
what should the three things i need to chief by next friday night see what i mean you'd be there before you get there
01:03:17
so one sunday night ten minutes what are the three things
01:03:22
i need to do before next friday night the other thing is to do lists are all hash
01:03:28
it's about significant place significance a priority this why did
01:03:34
i say that i say that because it's
01:03:38
what are the two to the three things each day that you've got to get you've got to achieve because we can
01:03:44
also for for more when today and then the to do list comes in and number three everything else yeah
01:03:50
but why should the forced want to to the things that
01:03:53
i must achieve in this state always always have your
01:03:57
if you're just doing it to do list i'd really encourage you anybody a
01:04:01
coach i say to them always do that lists the day before i
01:04:06
so you have the night time to start thinking about should never ever do
01:04:11
would and when you just sit down each desk in the morning
01:04:14
do it the day before these are very tiny little paintings but is
01:04:18
the t. yeah he's the tiny little things that make a difference
01:04:24
with the excuses calming in or with how we run our lives so remember it's you know the week
01:04:32
starts on sunday night not more than ten minutes or so the three things you want to achieve
01:04:37
and then every day what are the two to the tree things i need to change that day
01:04:43
and then there's a real game changer that i know of i actually
01:04:47
forced her departure from robyn chandler it's called the ninety ninety rule
01:04:52
so the night a roommate nineteen ninety room leads for the force nineteen minutes off that day
01:04:59
you work on that task you keep putting off yeah you said you get your full when you
01:05:07
said that clark and you work on that task can you imagine how empowered you would be
01:05:13
can i shoulder to shoulder hands how many people in the room start their day
01:05:18
but their face broke their linked in the fall when everything so they probably
01:05:25
get up around abortion instead of good morning darling i love you know they're going
01:05:29
good morning they spoke good morning linked in and it's by the bed
01:05:34
um oh he tension why because what you give your energy
01:05:43
attention and focus too is we're your life is going
01:05:48
what's stealing your time away what's stealing your energy way always i'm not saying that all of
01:05:54
this isn't about it's cooled but for some of that's it's rolling or not if
01:06:00
you know i worked at a seal about two years ago when when i went to
01:06:03
work at age seventy two blocks and i'm a morning person molly hard when
01:06:06
i said that's great tell me more she said when i get up in the
01:06:10
morning like you do she said very early what do you do then
01:06:13
i go downstairs i poke indicated she said and i turn on my laptop
01:06:18
you turn on your laptop yes i said to my
01:06:22
email this okay how do you feel by
01:06:28
but you feel by seven o'clock i cannot seem to stage how she feels okay particular days okay
01:06:37
i said to or okay let's change something here
01:06:42
when we work together i'm encouraging you to to just let's do late game changer little we
01:06:47
frame instead of you working on your emails first thing in the morning was if
01:06:53
you date was if you worked for even sixty minutes you know sixty fifty sixty fifteen
01:07:00
is sixty minutes of focus fifteen minutes for a cup of tea and coffee
01:07:04
or ninety fifteen ninety minutes of focus fifteen minutes for converting
01:07:08
coffee see what i'm doing sector talks that works
01:07:11
you bring focus energy and attention into what you're doing that the small steps
01:07:16
the whole really big game change during your business today within six weeks or staff are saying to me money
01:07:24
money what's happened elaine i said my wishes come into the office nonstop she's talking
01:07:29
she saying good morning why because beforehand what was happening shouldn't open in the
01:07:35
office like this uh_huh pay attention still small steps every day or a difference
01:07:45
actually doing paying so much it and you know about up up up
01:07:51
still i want to and push story
01:07:57
and go back to where i began again in my early days in certain and all
01:08:03
i must've been about fourteen fourteen a half a member campbell school one day
01:08:09
and mommy said to me i need to to leave school
01:08:13
i can't afford for you to stay in school anymore she said you're the oldest one you're gonna have to get out you're going to work
01:08:20
i remember crying of was not i was brainy are very good at school but
01:08:23
i just remember crying 'cause i thought i want to stay it's cool
01:08:28
anyway if i did end up staying it's cool but my mother that day did the best she could
01:08:34
she tore up my books and again i made a choice in that moment and i said
01:08:40
you know what's the day that i earned my own money on control the typical week for the
01:08:45
first half and i'm glad to say standing up your shaving this was an fifty two
01:08:53
and i've read a book week or under non you chew bar whatever stay home but
01:08:59
always be around or what what's the people have always love to read discretion marty
01:09:05
and question marty said this two types of people in this world he said there's family people and there's no ten people
01:09:12
and he said all of us all of us the six opinion close the monsters were barn into the value of life
01:09:20
i'm a born into the valley he says only crawl well he said announcement
01:09:24
will not we see other people had for the mountains we see them
01:09:27
heading for the mountains and then we think i wanna go there one day but somebody comes along and says well you to think like that
01:09:33
don't have notions of of your station put those teams in the bin ever happen to
01:09:38
oh you want to be gore just to be brilliant to beef up our
01:09:44
i many this do we put the dreams and the pain we you
01:09:47
know we stay small we pay small but every now and again
01:09:51
and i know you've all had it now i know you will have a g. f. something inside
01:09:54
you go ha ha it for the mountains had to the mountains and as i look
01:10:00
out here today i know that you're all ready all uh on the mountains in fact you're
01:10:06
not just on the mountains i know you've got oh you've got the little cottage
01:10:14
the white picket fence if even got the chickens you're on the mountains but you know christmas pieces no
01:10:22
on on on on on all your most hinder the chickens yeah that's not the house down whiny
01:10:29
because there's always another mountain there's always another summers
01:10:33
there's always another excuse we'd have to get
01:10:37
over i just want to say be accountable pay attention small steps every day thank you
01:10:54
thank you so much molly
01:10:58
you know what your take aways is going to be here will be very
01:11:02
personal and individual and uh i think this is a record of
01:11:10
tools little exercises if chips good stories
01:11:18
in only um seventy five minutes so i'm kind of blown
01:11:24
away and here's a little piece of advice for me
01:11:28
if you actually miss out of something you will experience more
01:11:33
so take a a out of this session where you really are um
01:11:40
feel that this is important to me and that that little step
01:11:44
then when you're ready begin to the conference back under the notes
01:11:49
and uh could be in there we go to war in a month from now and take up a new frame
01:11:56
because this was a lot a lot of things to
01:12:00
take what you really desire i did you change
01:12:05
oh just stop doing um and i hope that you enjoyed this as much as
01:12:11
i did um thank you so much molly with a great great pleasure to
01:12:16
experience you here i sell now you're ready for lunch but um there's a a
01:12:26
a you will but i have a little problem out in your apt
01:12:29
with uh the uh an evaluation of decision we would love
01:12:34
it to give you feedback it's the only way
01:12:38
bad we are can get better stop doing something we
01:12:42
think is great and start doing something new
01:12:44
so please if take some time it's only for questions and there is a a comment field
01:12:50
so a prefix in trying to do that and um yes
01:12:57
i think that was about it in more note for molly in
01:13:02
the conference back in the add on to the session
01:13:06
and uh thank you have a wonderful day and uh i hope to see
