Anaheim, USA, September 21, 2012 – Dr Ary Graça has been elected as the fourth FIVB President at the FIVB Congress at Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, USA on Friday. Needing a 50 per cent plus one majority of the eligible votes, Dr Graça, who was president of the Brazil Volleyball Federation and the South America Confederation and a member of the FIVB Board of Administration, recorded 103 votes, with USA Volleyball CEO Doug Beal obtaining 86 and Australia Volleyball Federation President Chris Schacht 15. With 206 participating federations, two votes were recorded as invalid.
