can't hear the music i don't feel like wrapping to this be
00:00:06
oh thank you so what we did was asked our
00:00:10
students to prepare short videos on the research
00:00:15
and then we asked our colleagues uh in i. c. to actually vote
00:00:19
for all these different videos that were prepared by uh our students
00:00:24
now there's a lot of value to preparing a short video on your
00:00:27
research and this was intended as an educational experience so everybody who
00:00:32
prepare the video gain out of this experience now we did want to pick the top ten
00:00:38
uh and that turned out to be quite difficult so we have a top eleven
00:00:43
out of what you know me and my colleagues feel are the best uh presentations
00:00:50
of icy student research so i will briefly
00:00:55
flash up here the names which
00:01:00
are animated but you will see these names up again so these are the eleven
00:01:06
uh presentations uh from various labs on various topics
00:01:11
and the way it will work is that you will hear three minute presentations from each of the students
00:01:17
and you will be asked to vote using your smart phone uh it
00:01:23
has to be smart for you to actually access the web
00:01:26
uh or from your laptop you can please uh remember this u.
00:01:30
r. l. or type it into your device right now uh
00:01:33
we give you both along one and the short one depending on your um you know how your brain works um
00:01:41
c. d. m. a. seven you is the thing to remember if your memories that that is mine
00:01:47
so you will hear the presentations and then you can vote you can vote during the presentations uh or at the end
00:01:54
uh we will be showing you doing each presentation the name in the title of the
00:01:58
presentation on one of the screens so you always know who is talking about what
00:02:02
and a quick run through of how this thing is supposed to
00:02:06
work uh we're using this uh system uh called my vote
00:02:10
uh where you will need to click on the vote button and you will get the list of the talks
00:02:17
with the names uh you click on the first button
00:02:20
then select the best presentation for the first place
00:02:24
you can then click on the second button to select the second uh best and so on
00:02:30
and you can keep doing this so you can actually replace the
00:02:33
rankings and all that as you go and at the end
00:02:37
you click say vote and your vote the same so we will actually tally this vote
00:02:43
and we will have a word after lunch uh to give to the top three
00:02:49
part of this top eleven uh the vote close that one thirty which means
00:02:53
that you can also do voting during lunch so with no further ado
00:03:00
let's wish them good luck and start with wood cool
