This seminar comes at a time when the transportation industry as a whole is facing a significant shift in the interpretation of its role. This seminar addressed the opportunities which may arise for nonwovens from areas such as the fast-moving field of electrification and autonomous driving, for example. The enhanced importance of the driving or travelling environment presents challenges all along the chain, which the expert speakers from the transportation industry and its suppliers highlighted, providing pointers for future materials’ development.
